Organisational Change

NOT CURRENT Established in 2022, LGND’s Worker-Climate Team support trade unionists in organising to take climate action.

We recognised that, while many are keen to build support for these ideas in their unions and workplaces, there was a need for stronger networks for workers to learn and plan together.

A key part of our work is the Worker-Climate Conference- a forum bringing together trade unionists to discuss tactics, strategies and shared aims. The first edition, in October 2022, marked the beginning of efforts to strengthen the crucial connections between these workers and activists.

However, while our efforts in 2022 were impactful, they also highlighted the importance of widening and deepening a Worker-Climate network, to build real trust and understanding between the many workers taking part in the struggle against climate change.

In 2023, the Worker-Climate team will be expanding these efforts, to make an even greater contribution to this burgeoning movement, with in-depth interviews, worker roundtables, development of strategic resources, and more in-person events. To do all this, we need you to join the team!
